New Project - Garden Pond
« on: March 31, 2016, 07:37:14 PM »

About 10 yrs ago i had a large pond at the bottom of the garden, beautiful it was, 25ftx23ftx6ft deep, unfortunately somebody took offence and dropeed a bag of lime cement in killing all lifestock.
My youngest daughter Keisha was also due to be born so we decided to fill it in.
Now i think it is time for a new pond.. not as big.

So I am going to build 8 x 6 with 4ft deep - 2ft underground, and a walled 2ft above ground.

Started by clearing the new area, removing the plants and replanting them in the front garden.

Next i built a frame out of fenceposts for the positioning

Decided that the upperwall was to be built out of concrete blocks so ordered.
Arrived today all 144 of them

After taking advice, footings found not to be deep enough as ground too soft - new footings dug.
